Reports To:
Group Finance Director
The Financial Director is responsible for managing the financial operations, ensuring compliance, and overseeing key financial processes. They will provide financial leadership and work closely with various departments to drive financial performance. This role is crucial in leading the month-end close process, cash flow forecasting, and supporting financial planning. Additionally, they will be responsible for regulatory compliance and financial reporting. The Financial Director will collaborate with operational and executive teams to provide insights on project performance and business results.
MainResponsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting:
- Supervise the monthly close process and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Monitor Blackline reconciliations and system uploads
- Generate monthly financial statements with detailed analysis
- Present financial results to leadership and attend review meetings
Forecasting, Cash Management & Analysis:
- Manage 13-week cash flow forecast and liquidity analysis
- Assist in monthly forecasting and budgeting
- Analyze discrepancies between actuals, forecasts, and budgets
- Provide financial insights and recommendations
Compliance, Tax & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations
- Manage tax filings and reports
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
Project & Capital Management:
- Collaborate on tracking project budgets and capital expenditures
- Monitor project costs and timelines
- Manage asset capitalization procedures
Process Enhancement & Tools:
- Identify and execute process improvements
- Implement automation in financial operations
Leadership & Teamwork:
- Provide guidance to finance team members
- Act as a finance advisor to operations and executive team
Education & Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Preferred CPA qualification
- MBA is advantageous
- 8–12+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles
