Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Problem solve for resolution to modeling issues and direct technical and analytic employees to resolve model-related challenges.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and models presented in the Capital Markets Solution team.
- Oversee analysis of complex business issues, incorporating company and industry knowledge, mathematical expertise, and analytical processes.
- Assess risk/return trade‑offs through evaluation of existing and new investment alternatives.
- Present results and recommendations to business managers, utility partners, and, when appropriate, external parties to drive vision and priorities.
- Communicate action plans and priorities to relevant partners.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert in specific financial instruments or insurance contracts and consult with senior leadership to ensure all risks are addressed.
- Support the strength of the control environment for CMS operations, including review of risk‑based transactions.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in math, physics, economics, or another quantitative field of study.
- 5+ years of quantitative analytical experience.
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills, with the ability to influence customers on recommendations and analysis results.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills with experience in statistical analysis and modeling.
- In‑depth knowledge of business operations and processes, and the ability to articulate these processes clearly.
- Strong risk management, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in an environment of changing priorities.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
The role requires a client‑centric, relationship‑based approach. Employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Specific in‑office expectations will be discussed during the hiring process.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated base salary for this role is $84,100 – 147,700 per year. The role may be eligible for variable pay, including bonus, commissions, and/or long‑term incentives depending on the position. A comprehensive benefits program is available, covering vacation, sick time, 401(k), health, dental, and life insurance.
