The Business Performance Associate supports Market Leaders and Market Teams by monitoring performance trends, identifying growth and business opportunities, and driving the development of business plans and strategies to increase profitable market share in moderately-complex markets. The role focuses on performance reporting, execution tracking, and forecasting support to help develop long-range strategic plans and annual objectives with the Market Leader focused on market growth strategies impacting business expansion, productivity, and expense management.
This role partners closely with their Business Performance Leader, Senior Consultants, and other home office areas and leverages market tools, frameworks, and guidance to deliver on objectives.
- Prepare materials for Monthly Performance Reviews with the Market Team including data validation, summary insights, and supporting analysis. Execute standard and ad-hoc performance reporting, monitors trends, conduct analysis to highlight potential areas of opportunity for review.
- Support annual and ongoing market level planning in concert with market leadership team. Leverage regular reporting and prepared analysis, templates, and documentation and prepare to identify critical market opportunities. Assist with business case development under the direction of Business Performance Leaders.
- Support the execution of market strategies and initiatives with key functional areas (e.g., real estate, marketing, product teams) by tracking progress monitoring metrics and escalating risk or issues to market team and senior team members to deliver on intended outcomes. Prepare analysis and observations to inform potential implementation adjustments, escalating recommendations through.
- Support business metric forecasting by maintaining models, validating inputs, and updating projections under clear guidance and review to inform future strategies. Account for competitive landscape and specific competitors when shaping plans and strategies.
- Work closely with internal partners (including Finance, Analytics, and Human capital) to support execution of market strategies, the assessment of performance, and development of planning.
- Build business and financial acumen by leveraging Metrics that Matter, Region Key Measures, financial reporting and other data and reporting sources to perform analyses and support recommendations. Learn tools, processes, and planning frameworks through application and guidance from senior team members.
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, including:
- Working knowledge of the firm and its business practices and processes
- Working knowledge of the field structure and region/market operating system
- Analytic and technical knowledge of business performance (metrics and financials), market trend analysis, and applicable tools.
- Advanced Degree
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
