CRE Portfolio Manager IOverview

The CRE Portfolio Manager I services, deepens, and retains assigned profitable customer relationships by proactively evaluating and mitigating associated business risks and opportunities per established Huntington policies, procedures, and Guiding Principles within the CRE organization.

• Own primary responsibility for credit and monitoring of commercial portfolio risks, including underwriting quality and portfolio administration.
• Work closely with the Team Leader, Regional Commercial Management, and Regional Credit Officer to ensure high credit quality.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, and other team members to grow fees, deposits, and portfolio revenue by presenting practical Huntington financial solutions.
• Manage delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base, and specialty reporting.
• Conduct portfolio reviews, soft exposure annual reviews, and other required reporting.
• Provide risk rating updates for new credits and ongoing updates of risk grades in assigned portfolio.
• Present credit actions in written analysis documents to the Senior Loan Committee.
• Conduct portfolio reviews with senior management.
• Mentor Credit Analysts and develop required competencies.
• Prioritize work to meet customer expectations.
• Perform analysis of existing portfolio to identify trends and opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market and industry trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial credit experience.
• Minimum 3 years of portfolio manager and/or credit analysis experience.

• Knowledge of commercial cross‑sell products such as foreign exchange, commodities, interest rate derivatives, treasury management, and commercial cards.
• Proficiency with IT systems supporting the commercial segment: CLOS, PMTS, MAX, CARS, MS Office Suite, RETS, AFS, etc.
• Commercial Real Estate (CRE) experience.

• Office location with flexible work arrangement possibly available.
• Role may involve a mix of in‑office and remote work.

Exempt – not eligible for overtime pay.
