Role Description The Senior Loan Officer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Concord, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding borrowers through the application process, and providing clear, timely communication from initial consultation through closing. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating borrower financial profiles, collaborating with underwriting and processing teams, explaining loan products and terms, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

The Senior Loan Officer will build and maintain strong relationships with real estate partners, deliver exceptional customer service, and leverage OriginPoint's technology platforms to manage pipelines and drive loan volume. This role also involves identifying business development opportunities, staying current with market trends, and contributing to a culture of integrity and performance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in loan origination and experience as a loan officer, including managing a pipeline of residential mortgage loans.
• Candidates should possess solid finance knowledge, including analyzing income, credit, assets, and debt-to-income ratios to determine loan eligibility.
• Candidates should possess underwriting-related skills, such as interpreting guidelines, assessing risk, and collaborating effectively with underwriting teams.
• Candidates should possess excellent customer service abilities, including clear communication, empathy, and a commitment to a positive borrower experience.
• Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of loan origination processes, mortgage products, and compliance requirements.
• Active Mortgage Loan Originator license (NMLS) in California, with eligibility to be licensed in other OriginPoint states as needed.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding production targets, preferably in a senior or high-volume loan officer role.
• Strong relationship-building skills with real estate agents and other referral partners, and proficiency with mortgage technology platforms and CRM tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory requirements.
