Mortgage Servicing Specialist (Maternity Leave Cover)

Neighbourhood Holdings is a leading residential mortgage fund operating across Canada. We team with mortgage brokers to provide short‑term loans to borrowers who can’t access traditional bank financing, including entrepreneurs, immigrants, young families and people in transition periods. Our team is ambitious, creative, collaborative and data‑driven. Since 2015 we have raised capital from senior lenders and wealth managers and recently acquired Fisgard Asset Management, creating one of Canada’s largest non‑bank lenders.

The role is a maternity‑leave coverage term based in our Vancouver, BC office. Applicants will perform servicing tasks for residential mortgage loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing excellent customer service.

• Administration and processing of loan changes, including renewals
• Update mortgage system with client or loan information
• Produce and deliver various mortgage statements
• Review legal documents, facilitate the execution and registration of discharge or transfer documents, and deliver them to the requestor
• Handle collection calls professionally and in accordance with debt collection practices and privacy regulations
• Record reason for past‑due accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and refer files for legal action when necessary
• Maintain detailed, accurate notes of all correspondence and communication in the debt collection system
• Work with third‑party providers to obtain information or documents within expected turnaround times
• Follow internal policies, guidelines and procedures
• Provide payout statements and record payout funds

• BC Mortgage Broker’s License or willingness to complete the Mortgage Broker’s Course promptly
• Mortgage industry experience
• Customer service experience
• Working knowledge of Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Ability to learn new technology platforms
• High‑school completion and/or some college
• Strong communication skills
• Bonus:

Full‑time, Monday through Friday. Compensation is based on experience, with a starting range of $55,000–$65,000 for candidates without a Mortgage Broker’s License and higher potential for licensed candidates. A comprehensive benefits package is available after a three‑month waiting period.
