This project reflects our long-term commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and economic growth.
About Potash And The Jansen Project Imagine being part of something truly world-class, something that’s shaping the future of sustainable agriculture and responsible resource development. That’s what the Jansen Potash Project offers.
Located about 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jansen is set to become one of the world’s largest potash mines. With a US $15.3 billion investment, it marks the biggest private investment in Saskatchewan’s history, and a bold step forward for BHP in Canada.

During construction, it will create around 5,500 jobs and once operations are fully ramped up, 900 permanent roles. Whether you’re looking to grow your career, contribute to a sustainable future, or be part of a legacy project, Jansen could be the place where it all begins.
Why BHP?
