The Chief Actuary is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Boca Raton, FL, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees all actuarial functions, including pricing, reserving, risk modeling, and financial projections for F&I products and reinsurance programs. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include leading the design and evaluation of insurance products, developing and validating actuarial models, and providing insight into loss experience, profitability, and capital requirements.
The Chief Actuary collaborates closely with finance, underwriting, claims, and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth. This position also manages and mentors actuarial staff, establishes best practices and methodologies, and communicates complex analyses in clear, actionable terms to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong Analytical Skills, including quantitative modeling, problem‑solving, and data interpretation.
- Proficiency in Finance, with experience in forecasting, profitability analysis, and capital management.
- Advanced knowledge of Statistics, including statistical modeling, trend analysis, and predictive analytics.
- Deep understanding of Insurance concepts, coverage design, claims patterns, and regulatory considerations.
- Expertise in Actuarial Science, including pricing, reserving, and risk assessment for warranty and F&I products.
- Relevant actuarial credentials (e.g., FSA, FCAS, or equivalent) and several years of progressive actuarial leadership experience.
- Experience in automotive F&I, warranty, or related insurance domains is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with actuarial and data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python, or similar) and strong communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
