Position Description & Summary of Role:
The Tax Manager and their team play a critical role in driving the firm's growth strategy and delivering exceptional client service. To support the firm's commitment to outstanding customer care, the Tax Manager will collaborate closely with internal team members and partner advisors to provide prompt, accurate, and timely responses to client inquiries. The Tax Manager and team will build strong, trusted relationships with clients, helping them achieve their financial goals by providing expert tax guidance, strategic advice, and the resources needed to overcome challenges.

- Manage and co-lead a team of 20+ during tax season, and 9-10 during off season.
- Maintain contact with clients throughout the year; possesses a thorough knowledge of the client and all facets of client's business.
- Anticipate problem areas of engagement and develop procedures to address; keep owner informed of important developments and recommend solutions.
- Communicate progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to client through written and oral correspondences.
- Prepare client invoices, communicate details of fees to clients, and assist in collection of overdue accounts.
- Maintain knowledge of general economic and political trends related to tax or other legislation that could affect the business climate.
- Delegate and manage governmental tax examinations; may represent the client before the appropriate tax authorities.
- Supervise staff and provide on-the-job training
- Perform supervisory reviews of all tax returns and related work papers prepared by staff.
- Prepare and deliver team and individual performance evaluations.
- Preferred and required qualifications include:
- Bachelor or Master of Accounting.
- A current and valid certified public accountant's license.
- A minimum of five years of experience in accounting and tax.
- Individual tax experience. Corporate tax experience is helpful.
- A member in good standing with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
- Proficiency in Quick Books.
- Experience in Creative Solutions Ultra Tax is helpful.
- Experience leading teams
- Compensation may be flexible for the right candidate.

E. 116th Street, Fishers, IN. Occasional remote work is possible. During tax season, in office work is required. - Interview process includes:
- First interview with Tom Long, Owner and Sharon Shrack, Office Manager.
- Second interview lunch with the team.
- Offer will be made upon successful completion of interview process.
