In this 12-month term position, you will work under the direction of the Manager, Tax Reporting & Compliance, focusing on Canadian income tax and indirect tax compliance. This role requires preparing tax provisions, returns, and conducting thorough research on evolving tax laws. Candidates with a robust understanding of both income and indirect tax will excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and prepare tax returns and provisions

• Ensure compliance with indirect tax filings

• Collaborate with finance teams for accurate reporting

• Participate in audits and liaise with external auditors

• Perform tax research and enhance compliance workflows

Requirements:

• Commerce degree with a focus on Accounting

• At least 5 years in a tax-focused environment

• Familiarity with CRA and tax auditing practices

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Strong attention to detail in tax issues
