Head of Investment for Pension Fund

Head of Investment - part of a portfolio management team
Reporting to the CEO and autonomously manage files across areas of expertise
Our client is a pension fund managing nearly 5 Bn€ AUM.
They oversee the technical, administrative, legal, financial, and actuarial aspects of pension schemes, either through multiple pension funds and/or through an affiliated insurance structure.
Moreover, they offer advisory services for companies and individuals on risk management, providing as well ongoing strategic insurance guidance.
As an Head of Investment , you will be part of a portfolio management team.
You will incorporate regulatory, accounting, and tax considerations into investment decision‑making.
You will negotiate fee structures with financial institutions and seek to optimize them.
You will support the CFO and CEO in representing the organization to internal and external stakeholders (clients, decision‑making bodies, regulators, working groups, etc.) in all matters related to financial asset management.
You will build and maintain trusting and collaborative relationships with internal teams.
You will also support the CFO with ad hoc topics related to accounting, budgeting, or the business model of the various managed entities.
You will manage a small team of experts.
A university degree or equivalent in economics, finance, or management engineering. At least 10 years of solid experience in portfolio management and/or financial analysis.
Pension fund, asset management and Life insurance.
Team management

Portfolio construction, including regulatory and tax considerations related to investments
Experience in an insurance company, asset manager, or institutional investor is a strong plus.
Proficiency in French or Dutch, with solid command of the other national language; fluency in English.
Ability to present financial topics (macroeconomic environment, market developments, investment proposals, etc.) Strong skills in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Bloomberg, and the ability to learn new systems as needed.
