DepartmentOverview
The Americas Division ("AD") was established in the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited New York Branch ("SMTBNY") to perform corporate functions and supervise U.S. entities. Within the AD are the Global Banking Unit ("GBU") and the Global Markets Unit ("GMU"). The Controllers Department ("CTR") provides financial reporting to Branch Management, the Head Office and Regulatory Authorities. CTR also handles reconciliation of all Nostro accounts and other positions as well as U.S. tax related matters.
YourPosition Overview
The Controllers Department is seeking a Junior Accountant who will be responsible for daily Nostro and bond reconciliation, daily monitoring of G/L movement, financial reporting, head‑office reporting and regulatory reporting. The Junior Accountant will work closely with a designated reviewer who will assess the accuracy and adequacy of the reports.
