** invites applications for the position of a
** Finance Planning Analyst
** to support financial operations of the College of Education.
The Finance Planning Analyst will support the Strategic Finance Partner in providing oversight of budget and fiscal matters within the College. Responsibilities include advising departments on budget management, financial controls, and policy and procedure; providing and/or coordinating training for employees working with unit budgets; establishing, documenting, and implementing processes, procedures, systems, and standards for the efficient operation of the office and across the College.

* Additional responsibilities include:
*** Reconciliation and management of ledger and clearing accounts for business areas; make adjustments as needed and resolve problems
* Compile data for analysis and forecasting purposes; run reports as needed for business areas
* Provide both formal and informal training across business areas
* Maintain controls for business areas; manage authorizations; assign roles as needed
* Provide review and approval of financial documents, transactions, etc.
* Assign budget sources for expenditures to ensure visibility of spend on special budgets
* Analyze and verify funding sources to ensure appropriate spending and billing practices
* Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in general business conditions and other related areas
* Responsible for performing assigned audit functions; assist with annual processes for business areas, including annual salary increase and initial operating budget preparation
* Review and approve business expenses and ensure compliance with university policies
* Prepare financial summaries and any other specialized reports for presentations
This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
** MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
** Bachelor's Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.

** SALARY & BENEFITS
** The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $49,188.00 - $71,340.00.
