Blue Chip Talent
, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Controller
. This role is responsible for overseeing logistics financial performance across the Americas, managing freight and packaging costs, and supporting large-scale transformation and cost-reduction initiatives.
This position is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan
, with an established hybrid schedule requiring on-site work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Friday.
- Lead financial reporting, controls, and compliance for logistics activities across the Americas
- Manage month-end reporting, forecasts, budgets, and outlooks for freight, packaging, duties, inventory, and related logistics costs
- Validate projected transformation savings and identify areas where cost-reduction targets are not being achieved
- Develop financial models, business cases, economic forecasts, and special cost analyses
- Present logistics financial performance, risks, and recommendations to supply chain and executive leadership
- Partner with logistics, supply chain, operations, finance, and external consulting teams on regional initiatives
- Establish standard costing guidelines and monitor cost-reduction programs
- Evaluate in sourcing, outsourcing, facility, and process-change proposals for financial impact
- Conduct financial research and analysis to support business strategies and measure results
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including occasional extended or holiday hours as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience
- Automotive manufacturing finance experience
- Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and cost-control experience
- Advanced knowledge of freight, packaging, duties, and other logistics-related costs
- Experience supporting finance activities across the United States, Canada, Mexico, or Brazil
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and enterprise financial systems
- Experience with ERP systems, financial databases, and transportation management systems
- Experience working within a global, matrixed organization
- Master’s degree or MBA
- One Stream, Oracle, Essbase, or JD Edwards experience
- Experience supporting supply chain transformation or enterprise cost-reduction programs
- Experience validating savings developed with external consultants
- Experience developing make-versus-buy analyses and facility or process business cases
- Experience with logistics cost modeling and standard costing methodologies
