Company Description Mid-Columbia Economic Development District (MCEDD) is a regional organization focused on strengthening the economy across a five-county district in Oregon and Washington. Role Description The Loan Servicing Specialist is a full-time role responsible for supporting the administration and servicing of MCEDD’s loan portfolio. This hybrid position is based in Wasco County, OR, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include processing loan payments, maintaining accurate loan records, and monitoring loan performance. The role involves communicating with borrowers regarding account status, payment arrangements, and loan terms, and responding to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
The Loan Servicing Specialist will prepare reports, assist with loan documentation and file management, support mortgage servicing activities when applicable, and collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure compliance with organizational policies and lending regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience with loan servicing processes, documentation, and regulatory considerations is preferred.
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive borrower relationships.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with borrowers, colleagues, and partners.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, recordkeeping, and report preparation.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, databases) and comfort learning loan management systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- Prior experience in lending, banking, finance, or economic development is beneficial.
