Assistant Finance Division Manager
The Union Vicinage seeks a self-motivated, flexible, and results oriented individual to serve as the Assistant Finance Division Manager (Court Executive 1B). The individual should be committed to providing exceptional service and possess strong leadership, analytical, total quality management, and communication skills. Under the general direction of the Vicinage Finance Division Manager (Court Executive 2B), the selected candidate will assist in planning, directing, and evaluating the workflow of the Finance Division.
The Assistant Finance Division Manager will possess strong technical competence, administration, and management skills to assist with the oversight and support of the Court Held Funds Unit, which processes fines, fees, restitution, child support, bail escrow and other court ordered payments.
REMOTE WORK:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
Example of DutiesUnder the general direction of the Vicinage Finance Division Manager (Court Executive 2B), the selected candidate will:
- Assist in planning, directing, and evaluating the workflow of the Finance Division.
- Assist in developing, implementing and/or maintaining internal controls operating procedures and systems.
- Regulating the flow of work.
- Prioritizing work in accordance with operating schedules.
- Managing, mentoring and coaching a diverse staff.
- Conducting formal work performance evaluations with staff.
- Providing direction and feedback.
- Mediating and resolving conflict.
- Developing staff through training.
- Preparing spending plans, grant management, position control, purchasing, accounts payable, and management of fixed assets.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics, or financial related courses. Six of these credits must be in accounting and three years of professional administrative experience, one of which shall have included experience in accounting, accounts payable, auditing, purchasing, budgeting, cash management, financial analysis, finance, and/or developing, implementing and analyzing financial procedures, systems and controls.

Applicants who do not possess the required education but do possess the required 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics, or financial related courses (including six accounting credit hours), may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, economics, accounting, statistics, mathematics, data analytics or finance may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a CPA designation may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above.

Driver's License:
Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
