We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Actuary
- Life Statutory Valuation to join our Enterprise Valuation team. This role is on‑site 4 days per week and work from home 1 day per week in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC. If you are not currently located near one of our offices, we offer comprehensive relocation assistance. As a Senior Actuary
- Life Statutory Valuation you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by helping modernize our Valuation processes and enhancing our analysis. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 6 people in the Enterprise division. Your colleagues will include FSA's, ASA's and analysts.
- Bring our quarterly reserve analysis forward with additional insights, identification of drivers, and explanation of movements for various audiences
- Assist with quarterly valuation work in Prophet.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for further automation and operational excellence
- Enhance our policy audit tools by building off of existing frameworks or coming up with independent ideas to satisfy internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors
- Work with modeling, data, reinsurance, other Valuation teams to enhance models, validate changes, and improve the overall modeling
- Collaborate with and upskill junior members of the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related field.
- FSA designation
- 6+ years relevant experience
- Prophet, Excel, AI, Snowflake
- Knowledge of Life Statutory Valuation, VM-20 and Pre P Valuation standards
- Driven to learn, driven to automate, not afraid to take risks.

- History of implementing automation Snowflake, Prophet, Excel, AI, Hungry, humble, smart.

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay. $ - $
