This position supports financial operations by analyzing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Commonwealth and department guidelines. As a Fiscal Management Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Invoice Processing: Process non-PO and funds commitment invoices for payment through Treasury
- Invoice Auditing: Audit invoices to confirm proper coding and complete documentation while resolving SAP blocking issues
- Revenue Handling: Process payments from parolees, prepare revenue transmittals, and manage refunds and miscellaneous revenue checks
- Financial Review: Review housing, treatment, and reentry invoices for accuracy, eligibility, documentation, and proper funding
- Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors and staff to resolve billing issues, discrepancies, and documentation problems
- SAP Utilization: Use SAP business practices to complete daily financial tasks and account adjustments

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Financial Programs Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in paraprofessional fiscal administration work, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
