Woodmen Life is looking for an Actuarial Internto join our team! We are currently searching for an Actuarial Internto join our team. The Actuarial Intern assists with a variety of actuarial functions by providing support that will help the Actuarial division meet daily objectives. This is a accomplished through exposure to the planning, execution and evaluation stages of various work projects and initiatives, to gain workplace experience in the insurance industry and Actuarial field.

• Performs work related to life insurance and annuity Product Development, Inforce Management , or Valuation , as assigned by management .
• Gains b road exposure to the Woodmen Life organization by meeting weekly with the Internship Cohort, collectively with Executive Leadership , and one-on-one with leaders at the division level.
• Summarizes and present s capstone presentation of internship experience including project accomplishments, skill development , and key learnings .

• Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college with area o f study in Actuarial Science
• Working toward ASA certification , with at least one SOA exam completed
• Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA
• Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
• Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with spreadsheet, database and word processing software
• Exposure to programming solutions, such as Python, R, VB, SQL, or comparable language
• The ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service.

Project

Description:

Projects are sourced across the Product Development, Inforce Management, and Valuation Teams and would be solidified closer to the internship.
