This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an ANL - Sr. Bank Reconciliation Analyst based in the United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of complex bank reconciliation processes within the mortgage servicing industry. In this role, you will oversee reconciliations for a variety of custodial and clearing accounts while supporting regulatory compliance, internal controls, and continuous process improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage analytical tools to resolve discrepancies, and contribute to operational efficiency through automation and system enhancements.

Accountabilities
  • Perform and oversee bank reconciliations for custodial, payment, and disbursement clearing accounts while ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Prepare complex reconciliations, cash testing activities, and timely resolution of outstanding reconciling items in accordance with established service level expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, investor servicing agreements, Regulation AB, and internal financial policies.
  • Monitor reconciliation timelines, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies while developing process documentation and supporting system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, IT teams, vendors, and business partners to resolve reconciliation issues and improve workflows.
  • Produce ad hoc reporting, KPI analysis, and reconciliation metrics using reporting tools and internal systems.
  • Support testing, validation, and documentation for reconciliation process improvements while helping maintain strong internal controls and fraud prevention measures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing payment, disbursement clearing, principal and interest (P&I), tax and insurance (T&I), and bank reconciliations within the mortgage servicing industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial reconciliation principles, accounting controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience using financial reporting and data extraction tools such as Monarch, Datawatch, or MSP Passport considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, research, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sound business judgment, and a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
