Dream Spring Business Development Officer

Dream Spring Business Development Officers provide valuable assistance to small business owners in the community. They are responsible for developing new business, structuring, and the closing of loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. Our ideal candidate is passionate about the power of small businesses, is motivated by hitting goals, and enjoys being out in the community meeting with referral partners, clients, and community organizations.

This is a remote position but must be based out of the Kansas City Metro Area.

• Assists in the development and maintenance of a high-quality business loan portfolio and supports overall collection and recovery management efforts.
• Responsible for meeting the loan goals for the organization. Focuses on small microloans and lines of credit.
• Conducts direct business development with partners and referral sources.
• Ensures efficiency and accuracy in the loan application process through loan documentation preparation and loan closing.
• Participates in events and outreach to develop relationships, pipeline, and portfolio.
• Conducts workshops and presents presentations at events.
• Supports Portfolio Quality Officers in Contacting clients regarding overdue accounts and arranges or collects payments.
• Assists clients in evaluating their financial health, determining financing needs, verifying credit readiness and assessing business feasibility.
• Ensures collateral taken on all loans in portfolio are perfected and in compliance with Loan Operations policies.
• Serves as a Dream Spring ambassador in the community, helping to cultivate relationships and build referral networks in assigned geographic region of the state.
• Supports clients through all stages of the lending process; assisting with applications, conducting financial analysis, and preparing document for loan approval.
• Develops relationships with business referral sources.
• Supports Dream Spring's strong relationship culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
• Represents Dream Spring in local community through active participation in community affairs and participates in marketing all products and services.
• Assists with the servicing of current client accounts.
• Provides exceptional client service to support existing and potential clients with requests, questions and other support.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business or related field. Experience in accounting, banking or lending preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Formal credit training experience preferred.
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
• Must have a good driving record, valid, driver's license, vehicle insurance and a reliable vehicle.
