Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

The Finance Manager is responsible for assisting the finance team in the detailed financial analysis of Eye Care Partners healthcare operations. This role reports directly to the Director of Operational Finance, and partners closely with the Ophthalmology Operations leadership teams to drive operational improvements and efficiencies. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with a focus on growth, margin and profitability goals and contribute as a valued member of the team.

The Finance Manager develops, executes, and analyzes financial reports/models that aid in the decision making of the company. This strategic role will be responsible for the effective interpretation of financial information to identify key issues and strategies that support the company's operational plan. Provide substantially improved and actionable recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead the budgeting process with practice leadership and drive execution against financial plans.
  • Prepare, analyze, consolidate, and communicate actual, forecast, and budget results to leadership on a monthly and mid-month basis
  • Partner with financial and operational leaders to identify issues, analyze data, and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop financial models, reports, and analyses using Excel and financial planning tools.
  • Evaluate capital investment opportunities and calculate ROI for real estate projects. (de novo or relocation projects)
  • Maintain forecasts and predictive models to support business planning and performance management.
  • Present financial results, variance analyses, and recommendations during monthly business reviews.
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adapt to changing business needs while managing special projects and ad hoc analyses.
  • Travel as needed to meet with division leadership and participate in business review meetings.
  • Qualifications
    • 5+ years management consulting, corporate strategy, financial analysis
    • 5+ years experience in financial planning, financial modeling, and creating data-driven analyses
    • Experience supporting operations in a multi-site healthcare or clinic-based organization.
    • Ability to analyze large, complex data to uncover insights and support strategic decisions. Identifying business and operational risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
    • Ability to build consensus and influence cross-functional stakeholders to solve complex business challenges through data-driven decision-making.
    • Strong prioritization, planning, and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and execute effectively despite ambiguity.
    • Experience managing and developing team members, including delegating work effectively, providing regular coaching and feedback, and supporting direct reports' professional growth
    Education And/Or Experience
    • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
    • Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MSA, or other equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business)
    Systems And Technology
    • Proficient in MS Office 365 - Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
    • SAP, Adaptive Planning, or PowerBI experience a big plus
    • SQL knowledge a plus; ability to query and manipulate large datasets from underlying systems to support financial analysis and reporting
