Edward Jones Trust Company provides a full range of trust, investment management, and custody services to individuals, businesses, charitable organizations, and private foundations. The New Business Senior Trust Advisor serves as the primary relationship manager for Edward Jones branch teams, with a particular focus on delivering an exceptional account onboarding experience. This individual acts as the trusted point of contact throughout the onboarding process, ensuring both clients and branch teams receive timely, accurate, and high-quality service.

What You Will Do:

  • Actively participate in promoting Edward Jones Trust Company services across the Edward Jones ecosystem including with clients, Financial Advisors, branch teams, and internal partners.
  • Serve as a dedicated relationship manager and primary Trust Company resource for assigned branch and regional teams and its respective new business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through ongoing communication and outreach.
  • Manage HNW new business sales reporting.
  • Travel periodically throughout the US to meet with branch teams and regions in support of relationship development (e.g. participate in monthly home office on-site financial advisor training sessions.)
  • Manage ongoing-related prospects and branch concerns.
  • Resolve issues proactively and provide recommended solutions that align client expectations with Trust Company capabilities.
  • Lead the onboarding process for all new fiduciary accounts.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities across Trust Officers, Fiduciary Officers, Portfolio Managers, Trust Specialists, and internal partners.
  • Provide initial guidance on whether EJTC can administer prospect's governing documents. Activities may include:
    • Evaluate prospective relationships through comprehensive risk assessments.
    • Analyze assets, family dynamics, beneficiary structures, tax returns, accounting, and other relevant information.
    • Review and perform initial interpretation of governing documents with the administration of trusts in perspective, including:
      • Trust agreements
      • Wills
      • Powers of Attorney
      • Beneficiary designations
      • Related contracts and legal documents
    • Review of investments, inclusive of unique assets requirements such as real estate, land / farm, and closely held securities.
    • Consult with EJTC's fiduciary officers and legal team as appropriate.
  • Participate in Trust Company and firm-wide initiatives that improve client service and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with partners across the Trust Company and firm to support complex client needs and develop new solutions.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to Trust Company associates.
  • Maintain compliance with Trust Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

What Experience You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Professional certification, such as CTFA, CFP, CPA, JD strongly preferred
  • At least 5+ years trust, estate management, or related legal or financial services experience required;
  • Knowledge of advanced fiduciary, gifting, trust management principles, estate planning principles, taxes, insurance, and investment principles and techniques required
