Signature HealthCARE is looking for a Controller based at Corporate Office in Louisville, KY

LTC preferred and familiarity with Net Suite is helpful!

As a member of a small leadership team, this role requires a working executive who can seamlessly balance strategic vision with day-to-day execution. This is not a purely advisory position; the ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment and leads by example.

  • Responsible for the company’s financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.
  • Responsible for overall functions of Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Fixed Asset Accounting.

  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.
  • Management duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training and developing, coaching and counseling, and terminating department staff, as deemed necessary.
  • Ensure that all employment practices are administered fairly and without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, amnesty, or veteran status in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
  • Direct the financial affairs of the organization and prepare financial analysis of operations, including monthly and annual final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management.
  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Maintain the company’s system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
  • Establish major economic objectives and policies of the company and prepare reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system), and analyze and report variances.
  • Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate payroll and other applicable taxes. Furnish internal & external reports, including financial covenant reporting, as necessary.
  • Determine depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items and advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax revisions.
  • Responsible for the successful coordination and completion of the annual financial statement and 401K plan audits.
  • Responsible for providing the organization and senior management with the appropriate financial and operating information necessary.
  • Work closely with other departments on problems involving accounting systems and financial planning.
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems within the functional limits of the department.
What You Need To Make a Difference
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; MBA preferred.
