About the Director of Strategic Finance

The Director of Strategic Finance will serve a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy to drive growth and operational excellence. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director will bring a strong analytical mindset and deep business acumen to translate financial insights into actionable strategies that support enterprise-wide decision-making. This leader will influence P&L responsibilities, long-term strategic initiatives and planning, company-wide month-end reviews with the executive team, and investor support.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with operational leaders, business development, strategy, analytics, and senior leadership to support the evaluation and financial modeling of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
  • Lead the development of the various financial reports for the Board of Directors, operators, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Execute on other ad-hoc projects at the intersection of finance, corporate strategy, analytics, business development, operations, and revenue cycle management
  • Provide financial modeling and other strategic support intended to plan for and execute on projects for new markets and ventures
  • Establish financial discipline across acquired practices by standardizing reporting, integrating financial controls, and supporting physician engagement and accountability
  • Assist with honing financial operations infrastructure to support the organization’s rapid growth, with a focus on monthly/quarterly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Partner closely with Accounting to ensure the accuracy of the financials on a regular basis
  • Partner closely with Revenue Cycle Management team to uncover areas of opportunity and execute on corresponding projects
  • Lead the preparation of the monthly financial statement close process and the financial reports
Qualifications
  • Must have 8-10 years in progressively responsible roles in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, and/or corporate finance
  • Must have expert-level Excel/financial modeling skills and be able to successfully pass a rigorous financial modeling test
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Significant plus: a deep understanding of the financial complexities and best practices associated with physician practice management
  • Significant plus: track record of succeeding in high-growth environments, ideally in PE-backed multi-site healthcare delivery businesses that have seen growth through acquisition; appetite for a high growth and entrepreneurial environment
  • Significant plus: demonstrated ability to lead and hone the monthly financial statement close process
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering or other similar areas; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • This is a remote position; however, quarterly travel to Nashville is required
