Head of Algorithmic Trading & Strategy and Member of the Board.

The company oelmarkt.ch AG is developing its operational presence in Lugano, Canton Ticino, with a focus on developing and implementing algorithmic trading strategies and proprietary trading systems.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Algorithmic Trading & Strategy to develop, implement and supervise the company's algorithmic trading activities.

The position combines financial-market expertise, systematic trading, risk management and coordination with software developers and technology providers.

• Develop, evaluate and implement algorithmic trading strategies.
• Transform trading ideas and methodologies into clear technical specifications for developers.
• Coordinate external developers and specialised technology providers.
• Supervise the development and improvement of proprietary trading systems.
• Conduct and evaluate backtesting and forward testing of trading strategies.
• Analyse performance, profitability, drawdowns and risk parameters.
• Define and supervise risk-management rules.
• Participate in the integration of Trading View, broker APIs and automated trading systems.
• Work directly with company management on the development of algorithmic-trading activities in Lugano.

• Strong understanding of financial markets, systematic trading and technical analysis.
• Practical experience with algorithmic or automated trading systems.
• Experience in developing, managing or implementing trading strategies.
• Understanding of backtesting and risk-management principles.
• Ability to formulate technical requirements and coordinate software developers.
• Understanding of Trading View, Pine Script and trading automation.

Candidates are not required to personally perform all programming tasks. Experience developing and implementing trading systems in cooperation with external developers or specialised consultants is considered relevant professional experience.

Experience can be demonstrated through existing algorithmic trading solutions, strategy-performance records, previous projects, technical documentation or documented cooperation with developers.

• Pine Script and/or Python (Pandas, Num Py).
• Experience with broker or exchange APIs.
• Experience with Forex and other international financial markets.
• Experience managing external developers or technology providers.

• English - working knowledge preferred.
• Also an advantage:
  Russian or Ukrainian.
• The strongest developers in this field are in Ukraine, Russia, and Israel.

• Place of work:
  Lugano, Canton Ticino, Switzerland, with the possibility of partial remote work.
• Employment:
  Permanent, full-time position (100%).
• Gross salary: CHF 8, per month, depending on qualifications and professional experience.
• A key role in the development of the company's proprietary algorithmic-trading activities and direct cooperation with company management.
