Mortgage / Lending Operations Specialist

• Location:
  
  Remote and onsite thrice a week in Vienna, VA
• Contract length: 6 months (with possible extensions)
• Overtime availability:
  Overtime will be available based on business needs

Rate: $22/hr on W-2. This is the targeted compensation range for this role per hour. Final offer will be based on several factors, including skillset, experience, education, certifications, and location.

• Receive escalated, moderately complex, and/or urgent inquiries related to member accounts, general ledger accounts, or systems, policies, and procedures.
• Research and respond to branch and member–impacting escalated situations, moderate‑complex account errors, and system issues under supervision.
• Assist with comprehensive testing and implementation of enhancements to existing software and new systems.
• Analyze, research, and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts and loans.
• Ensure software/systems meet regulatory and procedural requirements.
• Develop and recommend enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures.
• Identify and detect errors/omissions; resolve or arrange for resolution.
• Participate in cross‑organizational task groups concerning new automated systems, products, and/or services.
• Perform research for process improvements.
• Recommend corrective action when discrepancies occur.
• Test and implement software and/or processes.
• Work with other business units to resolve systems and equipment issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Weekend and off‑hour coverage on a rotating schedule for Saturday coverage and weekend system validations.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Familiarity with SQL queries and ability to run basic queries.
• Strong communication, writing, and troubleshooting skills.
