Our client, an expanding investment management firm is looking for a Trading Strategist to join their investment team.
Role DescriptionThis is a new full-time hybrid role (reporting directly to a Partner) for a Trading Strategist, based in New York, NY, with opportunities for remote work flexibility. The Trading Strategist will develop, refine, and execute trading strategies while conducting in-depth market analysis. Responsibilities will include monitoring and adapting to market trends, optimizing trading models, collaborating with the trading and research teams, and ensuring strategies align with organizational goals.
The role also involves risk management and the implementation of technology-driven solutions to enhance trading performance. You will have significant, visible impact and your insights will directly influence trading behavior, execution and investment decisions.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including advanced knowledge of financial markets (preferably commodities, FX and Fixed Income), trading strategies, and quantitative analysis
- Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and programming in Python, R, or similar tools with particular strength in execution algorithms
- Proven experience with algorithmic trading, backtesting, and portfolio management techniques
- Solid problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments
- Ability to interpret and act on real-time market data and adjust strategies accordingly
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in a trading or quantitative research role is highly beneficial.
