Salary range for this position is $61,749.69 to $ for Schedule A, and $61,749.69 to $95,146.95 for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

The Passaic Vicinage Finance Division is seeking a finance professional with strong analytical, customer service, and administrative skills to perform accounting, financial, and administrative functions. The successful candidate should possess strong technical, reasoning, self-management, and PC skills; demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team; adhere to deadlines; pay close attention to detail; prioritize work assignments; work with regulatory policies and directives;
participate in team or work unit meetings; and provide cross‑training to coworkers as needed.
- Performing reconciliations
- Analyzing data
- Preparing financial spreadsheets
- Creating management reports using data from legacy computer systems
- Processing NJ START invoices and related financial documentation in accordance with established procedures
- Preparing and entering accounting entries
- Participating in both internal and external audits
- Completing accounts payable tasks
- Developing budgets
- Collecting and/or maintaining case statistics or financial data to generate status reports and MS Excel financial analysis reports
- Interacting with all levels of management
- Participating in a team environment
- Working within established internal controls
- Recommending improvements in operating procedures, programs, standards, work processes, or administrative practices
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management and as operationally required
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
EducationGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and/or financial related courses. Six of these credit hours must be in accounting.
