The Loan Payoff Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of loan payoffs and ensuring proper lien release and documentation. This role supports the lending function by maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, safeguarding collateral interests, and providing administrative and operational support to the loan department. The specialist plays a key role in delivering a seamless payoff experience for customers while supporting internal partners across lending, operations, and compliance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Research and prepare payoff statements, process payoff checks including lot development payments.
Process real estate releases resulting from payoffs including preparing, filing, and tracking releases and other miscellaneous payoff duties.
Responsible for closing paid real estate, commercial and consumer loan jackets for all locations including preparing, filing, and tracking releases of all collateral types and notifying insurance companies of removal of lien.
Responsible for the quarterly lot listing billing; during downtime provide administrative support for loan department and other duties as assigned.
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and all security policies and procedures.

Requirements
Experience
Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
High school degree or GED required.
Interpersonal Skills
Communicates and collaborates effectively with team members, customers, and business partners while providing information, guidance, and support. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering accurate information or results.
This role is exclusively basedin Wichita, KS. We are not offering remote work or relocation assistance for this position. Candidates must be currently residing in or willing to commute to Wichita, KS.

Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
