Director of Investor Relations

We have been retained to identify a Director of Investor Relations for a publicly traded, NYSE-listed industrial company headquartered DFW, Texas. The company operates across global industrial markets with a multi-decade operating history, a durable balance sheet, and an active growth agenda.

This is a high-visibility seat. You will work directly with the CFO, CMO, and executive leadership, own the quarterly earnings cycle end to end, and serve as a primary voice to the investment community. If you have been executing someone else's IR strategy and are ready to build and own one, this is that step.

• Direct line to the top. You partner frequently with the C-suite and board. Your work is seen, used, and credited — not filtered through three layers.
• You own the narrative. The company has a real story to tell: differentiated market position, disciplined capital allocation, and a strategy that hasn't been fully priced in. Your job is to make the market understand it.
• Build, don't maintain. There is meaningful room to professionalize targeting, sharpen positioning, and expand analyst coverage. Ideas get implemented here.
• Scale that matters without the bureaucracy. Large enough for a sophisticated capital markets function; small enough that you are not one of nine people on the IR team.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and the broader financial community — building the kind of relationships that hold up in both good quarters and hard ones.
• Partner with the CFO, CMO, and executive team to build and execute the investor relations strategy, with clear accountability for shareholder base quality and long-term value creation.
• Author earnings releases, call scripts, Q&A prep, and executive briefing materials that translate complex financial and operational data into a clear, credible narrative.
• Run the quarterly earnings process end to end — timeline, cross-functional inputs, messaging alignment, and executive readiness.
• Lead investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and analyst meetings, including target selection, logistics, and executive preparation.
• Conduct shareholder base and peer analysis; design and execute targeted outreach to attract long-term holders and broaden analyst coverage.
• Monitor market activity, sell-side models, peer disclosures, and investor sentiment; deliver actionable intelligence back to leadership and the board.
• Establish and report on IR KPIs, ensuring the function is measured and continuously improving.
• Ensure full compliance with SEC regulations, Reg FD, and disclosure best practices across all external communications.

• 7–10 years of experience in investor relations, equity research, capital markets, corporate finance, or corporate communications at or for a publicly traded company.
• Direct, hands-on involvement in the public company earnings cycle — you have written or materially contributed to earnings releases, scripts, and Q&A.
• Strong financial literacy: you can read a 10-K, build or interrogate a model, and explain results and strategy credibly to a portfolio manager.
• Exceptional written communication. This role lives on the quality of the written word.
• Working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, Reg FD, and disclosure standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Communications, or a related field.

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or adjacent sectors.
• Sell-side or buy-side background, or prior IR agency experience.
• CFA, MBA, or NIRI certification.
• Familiarity with IR platforms and market intelligence tools (e.g., Nasdaq IR Insight, S&P Capital IQ, Fact Set, Bloomberg).
• Experience supporting M&A communications or investor day execution.

• Location: Fort Worth, TX. This is an onsite role — proximity to the executive team is central to how it works. Company culture has flexibility to work from home on an as needed basis.
• Compensation: Competitive base plus annual incentive, commensurate with experience. Full benefits package plus RSU's.
