At ENTRUST, we're looking for a Senior Project Cost & Financial Analyst to support major utility, energy, and infrastructure programs across North America. In this highly visible, client-facing role, you'll help drive financial performance, cost management, forecasting, reporting, and compliance for large capital projects funded through utility investments, federal programs, loans, and grants.

What You'll Do- Lead project cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for major infrastructure programs.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, cash flow forecasts, funding plans, and cost performance metrics.
- Analyze project financial performance, identify risks and variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and financial presentations for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Support funded programs involving USDA/RUS loans, DOE financing, grants, and other federal funding sources.
- Ensure compliance with funding requirements, audit standards, and applicable regulations, including 2 CFR Part 200 where applicable.
- Perform financial analysis of utilities, cooperatives, and infrastructure organizations, including financial performance, funding strategies, and investment scenarios.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Contracts, and Project Management teams to support project execution and financial governance.
- Support project accounting activities such as accruals, capital tracking, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
- Develop and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and cost performance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project cost controls, finance, accounting, financial analysis, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting large capital, utility, energy, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, accruals, ETC/EAC forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience preparing executive-level financial reports and dashboards.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP, accounting, or project cost management systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting federally funded infrastructure programs, including grants, loans, or compliance reporting.
- Experience with USDA/RUS loan programs, DOE financing, or other federal funding initiatives.
- Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance).
- Utility, energy, broadband, water, transmission, generation, or infrastructure industry experience.
- Experience supporting major capital construction programs.
- Familiarity with Power BI and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Deltek, or Power Plan.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, PMP, EVP, or related credentials.
- This position pays between $120,000 and $150,000 annually and is an exempt position.
