$250K cash plus significant carry. Remote, NY/DC/SF preferred. Substantial international travel.

I'm hiring one person to run complex transactions with me. I recently sold another company to one of the two big AI labs and I need to scale the team.

Three buckets -

Deploying capital out of my early-stage AI fund. You'll source and diligence deals and have a real say in what we write checks into.

Lower middle market M&A in AI infrastructure. We work these together: valuation, structure, negotiation, diligence, close. You'll be talking to founders and counter parties from day one. Must have strong corp dev relationships across tech. Someone with more than 30 will be very competitive.

Complex credit agreements and major physical infrastructure projects, from ideation through execution. Fewer people can do this well, which is part of why I'm hiring for it.

A few years in banking or private equity. TMT, infrastructure, M&A, or lev fin backgrounds translate best. If you came up in venture but have structured real credit packages, I want to hear from you.

You need to know the early-stage world too. How rounds come together, what separates a good founder from a good pitch, how to form a view on a company with no comps and no revenue.

Mostly you need to run a process without being managed. You'll be running your own deals. I'm not your boss. I'll weigh in where it helps and otherwise stay out of your way while also handing you deals that are best suited for your skills

Principal title, carry that's worth something, and a seat where you're deciding what gets done rather than executing someone else's decision. You'll build a deal sheet across venture, M&A, and structured credit in the same year, which is hard to do anywhere else.

The work is almost completely unstructured. Nobody hands you a mandate and there's no bench to sit on between deals.
