About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Remote Quantitative Analyst to join their sophisticated financial modeling team, operating entirely remotely. This role is integral to developing and implementing complex quantitative models for trading strategies, risk management, and pricing derivatives. You will work with vast datasets, employing advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to identify market opportunities and mitigate risks. This fully remote position is ideal for a quantitative professional who excels in a challenging, data-intensive environment and can contribute cutting-edge analytical expertise from anywhere in Gauteng or the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and implement quantitative models for financial markets, including algorithmic trading, risk management, and derivative pricing.
  • Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and back-testing of trading strategies.
  • Analyze market data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to refine model performance and implement new strategies.
  • Write efficient and clean code for model implementation, simulation, and data processing.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in quantitative finance and computational methods.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or a related role.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, C++, or R, with experience in numerical libraries.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, derivatives, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
