Remote Chief Financial Officer; Mining

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations from a remote capacity, supporting their significant mining interests. This executive role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the financial intricacies of the mining industry . You will be responsible for all financial planning, risk management, investor relations, and capital allocation strategies, providing critical financial stewardship to drive profitable growth and long-term value for the organization.

This is a leadership position based out of Randburg 's corporate functions but performed remotely.

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning & analysis, treasury, and tax.
• Develop and implement long-term financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
• Manage investor relations, capital raising activities, and relationships with financial institutions.
• Ensure robust internal controls, compliance with financial regulations, and accurate financial reporting.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.
• Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for financial optimization and risk mitigation.

• Professional qualification (CA(SA), CPA, CMA) or MBA with a strong finance concentration.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with significant exposure to the mining sector.
• Proven track record in corporate finance, M&A, and capital markets.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing remote teams and operations effectively.
• Deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
