You will work independently, collaborating virtually with traders and risk managers to navigate complex market conditions and capitalize on trading opportunities, contributing directly to the financial performance of the company.
- Analyze energy market data, including pricing, supply, demand, and weather patterns, to identify trading opportunities.
- Develop, test, and implement quantitative models for energy trading strategies and risk management.
- Monitor real-time market activity and execute trades in accordance with established strategies and risk parameters.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on market analysis, trading performance, and risk exposure for senior management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including traders, risk managers, and IT, to refine trading systems and processes.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and market developments impacting the energy trading landscape.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy trading, financial analysis, or a similar quantitative role.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel, Python, or R.
- Deep understanding of energy markets, trading instruments, and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
