Our client, a legacy and rapidly growing wealth management firm specialized with UHNW clients, is seeking to add a Client Services Associate to their team. The firm manages approximately $2 billion in assets and offers a sophisticated investment platform with a strong focus on alternative investments.
The ten-person team is based out of Michigan, but they will accommodate a fully-remote employee for this position.
Position Overview
The Client Service Associate (CSA) will play a critical role in supporting financial advisors and their clients. This position requires deep experience in wealth management operations, exceptional client service skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be seasoned, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting UHNW clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding administrative and operational needs, ensuring an exceptional service experience.
- Support financial advisors directly in day-to-day client management, including onboarding, ongoing account maintenance, and responding to client inquiries.
- Open and maintain a variety of client accounts (brokerage, retirement, trust) and process transactions such as wires, transfers, contributions, and distributions.
- Work with primary custodians (Fidelity and Pershing) to execute and oversee account activities accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare performance reports, investment summaries, and meeting materials for client reviews.
- Manage client documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in CRM and portfolio management systems.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, including investment operations and compliance, to resolve issues and support client requests.
- Assist with complex asset transfers and support clients through alternative investment processes.
- Collaborate with other CSAs and advisors to continually improve service delivery and operational workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a client service or operations role within wealth management, with a strong preference for experience supporting UHNW clients.
- Direct experience working with financial advisors and their clients; ability to build trusted relationships.
- Experience with custodial platforms, specifically Pershing and Fidelity, is required.
- Familiarity with alternative investments and complex investment structures strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional and polished client-facing presence.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/portfolio systems.
