We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our finance team and help ensure that Cornerstone Montgomery has the strong financial systems, accurate reporting, and sound controls needed to advance that mission.
This is an opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to do more than close the books. The Controller will play an important role in strengthening financial operations, supporting organizational leaders with meaningful financial information, and ensuring responsible stewardship of resources that directly support our programs and the people we serve.
About the PositionThe Controller is responsible for overseeing Cornerstone Montgomery’s day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the organization’s financial records and reporting.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, with a dotted-line relationship to the Finance Director, the Controller will serve as a key member of the finance team and collaborate closely with leadership and colleagues across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with sound judgment, curiosity, and a collaborative approach. This person will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to solve problems while also looking for opportunities to improve processes, systems, and internal controls.
