Risk & Underwriting Internship

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting reviews by organizing case information, identifying missing data, and summarizing risk considerations
• Use Excel to clean, analyze, and visualize data informing pricing inputs and portfolio insights
• Contribute to a live caseload by tracking milestones, escalating issues, and maintaining momentum under guidance
• Complete an internship project that improves a process, strengthens a decision framework, or enhances customer outcomes
• Communicate progress and findings through written updates, team discussions, and a final presentation
• Participate in recruiter screening and up to three interview rounds conducted virtually over Webex

• Currently progressing toward a bachelor’s degree and has completed 3 years in a preferred major and/or minor:
  Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, or Healthcare
• Strong analytical aptitude and comfort applying quantitative reasoning to business situations
• Comfort working with math and numbers
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain your approach and results
• Interest in a future career in underwriting and healthcare
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States without visa support, including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, now or in the future
• Must be able to meet the onsite schedule for the assigned office location
• Must be available in the United States for pre-employment drug testing approximately 45 days before the program start date
• Reliable cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload when working from home

Demonstrates strong analytical aptitude and quantitative reasoning skills, with proficiency in Excel for data analysis and visualization. Effective communicator capable of summarizing findings and contributing to team discussions in a fast-paced environment.
