This is a paid internship; however, the intern must provide their own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. The internship will work full-time through the Summer of 2027, and part-time during the following school year up until graduation. The internship is located out of our Mankato, MN office location. If pursuing internship credit through your university, it is your responsibility to consult with your advisor and review the internship's job description to ensure it meets the minimum eligibility requirements.
TheContributions You Will Make
This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting the Finance team through financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and business intelligence activities. The Finance Intern will work closely with finance team members to support reporting processes, analyze financial information, assist with operational planning activities, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through data analytics and emerging technologies. This role offers exposure to multiple facets of corporate finance and business decision support.
ATypical Day
- Review general ledger transactions and operating expense coding to support budget alignment and financial reporting accuracy.
- Support daily pricing processes through data review, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing team member resource allocations and capacity reporting.
- Refresh, maintain, and validate Power BI reports and dashboards used by finance and business stakeholders.
- Support monthly management reporting processes, including data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
- Research, evaluate, and pilot artificial intelligence (AI) use cases that enhance finance team processes, reporting, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Assist with financial analysis, process improvement initiatives, and special projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with finance team members and cross‑functional partners to support departmental objectives.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field, with 1-2 years of coursework completed.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
