Banner Finance Consultant Remote Fulltime FTE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banner Finance Consultant to join our Professional Services team. The consultant will lead and support Banner Finance implementations for colleges and universities
, providing functional consulting, business process analysis, training, onboarding, deployment, and ongoing advisory services.

The ideal candidate will have strong Finance/Accounting expertise within the higher education sector
, hands-on Banner Finance experience
, and the ability to work closely with institutional stakeholders to optimize financial processes and maximize the value of Banner and related Ellucian solutions.

• Lead and contribute to Banner Finance implementation and consulting engagements for colleges and universities.

• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, influencing client teams and stakeholders at various organizational levels.

• Provide guidance on Banner Finance best practices and recommend solutions aligned with institutional finance, accounting, academic, and business requirements.

• Support clients transitioning from legacy financial systems and processes to Banner Finance
  .

• Provide consulting support related to change management, process adoption, implementation, and business transformation
  .

• Conduct detailed business process reviews and requirements analysis
  .

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.

• Identify opportunities to adopt recommended Banner Finance processes and best practices
  .

• Translate client requirements into actionable recommendations for implementation teams.

• Collaborate with clients to maximize the value of Banner Finance and other Ellucian solutions
  .

• Develop and deliver training, onboarding, knowledge-transfer, and user enablement sessions.

• Explain complex financial system functionality clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Manage multiple consulting activities and client engagements simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.

• Collaborate with Finance consulting teams to improve methodologies, delivery materials, documentation, and implementation practices.

• Identify and contribute to internal process improvement and consulting practice initiatives

• Participate in cross-functional and company-wide initiatives as required.

• 8 10 years of total professional experience
  .

• Mandatory hands-on experience with Banner Finance
  .

• 3 5 years of Finance or Accounting experience
  , preferably within accredited colleges or universities.

• Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, standards, and best practices in higher education institutions.

• 1 2 years of consulting, training, system implementation, or professional services experience
  .

• Experience participating in or leading ERP/financial system implementations
  .

• Strong experience with business process analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and functional consulting.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse client stakeholders, including Finance, Accounting, administrative, and technology teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
  .

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

• Self-motivated, adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working independently in a remote consulting environment.

• Experience implementing or supporting Ellucian Banner Finance in higher education.

• Experience with other Ellucian Banner modules or solutions

• Strong understanding of higher education administrative and financial processes.

• Experience with organizational change management and business process transformation.

• Experience developing training materials, conducting workshops, and delivering end-user training.

• Previous experience working in a professional services or consulting organization.
