Responsibilities

• Process and support a variety of domestic and international payment transactions.
• Work with ACH, SWIFT, and Fedwire payment systems.
• Process foreign currency payments and support cross-border payment activity.
• Research and resolve payment-related issues and discrepancies.
• Utilize Excel and database tools to research transactions and extract information.
• Use pivot tables, queries, and other Excel functionality to analyze payment data.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing transactions.
• Support payment operations procedures, controls, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Payment Operations team to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Take on increasing responsibility with the opportunity to advance into a Payment Officer role.

Qualifications

• Previous payment operations experience at a bank or financial institution.
• Broad knowledge of payment products and processes.

(Accredited ACH Professional) certification is highly preferred.

Work Schedule:

On-site 5 days per week during the initial 60-day period. After successfully completing the first 60 days, the position will transition to 3 days in office / 2 days working from home.

We are seeking an experienced Payment Specialist to join a growing Payment Operations team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to grow into a Payment Officer position.

This is a small team, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of his or her responsibilities, and contributing across a broad range of payment operations activities.

The organization is looking for someone with proven, hands-on payment operations experience within a bank or financial institution who can step in and contribute immediately.
