Financial Services Specialist ; Compliance), SG

The New York State Department of Financial Services seeks a Financial Services Specialist 4 (Compliance) for its Property Bureau to conduct financial analysis and compliance review of insurance companies. The role involves auditing annual and quarterly financial statements, assessing cybersecurity and climate risk compliance, processing licensing applications, and monitoring regulatory adherence for complex companies and holding groups. This is a full-time position based in Albany or New York City with flexibility for remote work.

• Nine years of specialized experience in financial institution compliance evaluation, regulatory review, or identifying unfair/deceptive practices
• Two years of supervisory-level experience required
• Associate degree may substitute for two years of experience; bachelor's degree for four years; master's degree for five years; J.D. for six years;
  Ph.D. for seven years
• Knowledge of NAIC Financial Analysis Handbook and New York Insurance Law
• Experience with financial statement analysis and holding company evaluation
