Position: Professional Conduct Investigator 1

The Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation (BEI) is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Professional Conduct Investigator 1 to become an essential member of our team. This position gives you the opportunity to utilize your investigative experience to conduct investigations in regards to allegations for 29 licensing boards and commissions.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Professional Conduct Investigator 1, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting investigations regarding the allegations of violations of the standards of conduct, laws, rules, and regulations of the professional and occupational licensing boards. You will have the opportunity to work closely with supervisors and prosecuting attorneys to ensure all factual information is collected. Work also involves gathering facts, reviewing and evaluating information, and handling legal documents.

Effective communication and attention to detail are key as you may be required to testify at hearings or proceedings, conduct in-person interviews, as well as compile thorough, accurate, and timely reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch.
  • Telework:
    You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time, based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

  • Salary:

  • Please note:

    This position is headquartered in King of Prussia (Montgomery County) however, the majority of this position will be fieldwork in Philadelphia County.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • Two years as a Regulatory Enforcement Inspector (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of investigative experience; or
  • One year of investigative experience and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that included one year of investigative experience.
Other Requirements
  • This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
