** salary range: $48,243.00 - $62,114.00 this position is time-limited, grant funded, full-time. Funding for this position will end on june 30, 2026. Funding has been requested for july 1, 2026, through june 30, 2027.
The trial court administrator's office, 26th judicial district, serving mecklenburg county, seeks a qualified candidate for juvenile court support. This position will improve services provided to children and families in cases of abuse, neglect and dependency (a/n/d) and juvenile delinquency in mecklenburg county. This includes scheduling, the production of periodic reports and the tracking of key timeline standards, as well as relevant case information.
This position is responsible for providing case management support in both juvenile a/n/d and delinquency cases. This position will assist in the management of model court, juvenile justice, and juvenile judges' meetings.
** knowledge skills and abilities/management preferences
** duties include but are not limited to the following: •
* schedule cases and resolve scheduling conflicts, and prepare juvenile court calendars, as directed.
* support permanency planning mediator by documenting the discussions, agreements, and recommendations developed during sessions.
* provide case management of a/n/d and delinquency cases and prepare periodic reports from the integrated case management system.
* present reports to diverse audiences (e.g., court leadership, organizations, practitioners, and public) through collaborative meetings, conferences, facilitated work groups, and publications.
* foster communication and act as a liaison between family court, juvenile court, judges, attorneys, system partners, such as mecklenburg county youth and family services, guardian ad litem, law enforcement, and local diversion and community service programs.
* support model court efforts, committees, and annual conference.
* may support programs related to fostering reunification and kinship placements of children in care, engagement efforts, permanency planning mediation, restorative justice mediation/facilitation, etc., as directed.this position reports to the family court administrator. Works hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, monday through friday. Alternate work arrangements, including remote work, are available.## knowledge, skills and abilities / competencies
** knowledge of:
** various administrative systems and policies of family court and juvenile court, court administration and case management in the legal environment; state and local child welfare and juvenile justice practices, and current legislation on juvenile and abuse, neglect and dependency issues; relevant systems, institutions, and partners in juvenile abuse, neglect, and dependency and juvenile justice systems; family dynamics, trauma-informed practices, substance abuse disorders and treatment, child and adolescent behavioral issues and response;
unified family court concepts; and application of self-care and stress management practices.
