Remote Technical Writer

Siemens Government Technologies seeks an experienced Technical Writer to spearhead our Building and Energy Portfolio which includes our Electronic Security System ESS‑VII, UMCS V, and other contracts for the technical writing and the deliverables of the design, engineering, procurement, installation, maintenance, and services for the Federal Government worldwide.

Developing and producing the Request for Proposal (RFP) technical and logistical responses per requirements for bid opportunities.

• Developing and producing the ESS and UMCS technical responses installations and maintenance and Services (M&S) proposal language.
• Deliverables that include but not limited to the following:
  Federal Government Proposals, USACE UMCS/ ESS/ FRR Proposals, Technical Detail Matrixes, Manufacturer Data Cut Sheets (MFD), Software Data, System Description Analysis, Operator and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals, M&S Manuals, Site Visit abbreviated Accident Prevention Plan (SVAAPP), Limited Scope abbreviated Accident Prevention Plan (LSAAPP), Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
• Developing, creating, and maintaining a library of data documents soft and hard copies per government or USACE requirements.
• Develop, produce, review, and submit a variety of written documents.
• A significant amount of interviewing subject matter experts and capturing diverse subject matter into concise and detailed technical solutions.

• B.S. degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent years of experience.
• Must have experience with technical writing for the federal government.

• Experience with Federal Government, ESS, and UMCS proposals.
• Experience with technical writing for USACE.
• Knowledge and understands the UFC and UFGS guidelines.

• Occasional travel.

• Candidate must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
