Maintenance Caseworker II Family​/Child Medicaid

Core Responsibilities

Process applications and recertifications for Family and Children’s Medicaid, including Medicaid for Pregnant Women, Infants and Children (MPW/MIC), and related programs.

• Case Management:
  Handle, review, and update ongoing cases regarding changes in household composition, income, or employment.
• Interviews and Verification:
  Conduct with clients (via phone or in-person) to gather necessary data and verify information with third-party sources.
• System Utilization:
  Enter and manage data accurately in state and federal Medicaid systems and related document management systems.
• Policy Compliance:
  Interpret and apply complex state and federal regulations regarding Medicaid eligibility.
• Customer Service:
  Address client inquiries regarding eligibility decisions, benefits, and procedural steps.

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  High school diploma/GED and one year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker I, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills:
  
  Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office, database software), strong mathematical skills, and the ability to interpret complex regulations.

• Environment:
  Office-based, with occasional remote work options depending on the county.
