DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on evaluating case materials, ensuring accurate information, and supporting the decision making process for the Parole Board. You will review records, track details, and help maintain the integrity of parole actions. As a Parole Staff Technician 2 within the Case Analysis Division, you will perform the following duties:
* Case Analysis:
Review violation hearing materials to check completeness and confirm that actions can be carried out
* Information Requests:
Contact staff and courts to obtain needed documents for accurate case processing
* Data Review:
Examine records to calculate time owed and update Parole Board actions accurately
* Record Research:
Check correctional databases to verify inmate location and pending charges
* Documentation Entry:
Enter administrative actions and ensure wording complies with policy and law
* Staff Support:
Assist new technicians by explaining procedures and reviewing case steps

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
* Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* One year as a Parole Staff Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
* Four years of clerical experience that included one year in the interpretation and analysis of sentences and case information of criminal offenders; or
* An equivalent combination of experience and training that included one year in the interpretation and analysis of sentences and case information of criminal offenders.
Special Requirement:
* You must obtain Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification within three months of employment and maintain this certification for the duration of employment in this job.
Other Requirements:

* You must be able to perform essential job functions.

* You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
