Position: Administrative Officer 3
THE POSITION

Join the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission as an Administrative Officer 3 to support programs that strengthen juvenile probation services across Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports major administrative, fiscal, and program functions that help the agency operate efficiently. Work involves managing grants, coordinating office activities, and supporting budget and operational processes. As a Administrative Officer 3, you will perform the following duties:

* Grant Management:
Administer the Juvenile Probation Services Grant Program by reviewing applications, preparing documentation, and supporting grantees

* Budget Support:
Assist with contracting, purchasing oversight, and monitoring compliance with agency financial processes

* Budget Planning:
Develop and track the agency budget by analyzing needs and coordinating with executive staff

* Office Coordination:
Oversee office management tasks such as staff equipment assignments, guidance, and quality review of work

* Records Oversight:
Respond to Right to Know Law requests while ensuring confidentiality and legal compliance

* Program Monitoring:
Review county financial submissions and provide assistance to address issues or variances

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Full-time employment

* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

* Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* One year as an Administrative Officer 2; or

* Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or

* Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

* You must have at least 2 years experience working in the Pennsylvania Juvenile Justice System overseeing data collection, data analysis, and the reporting of juvenile justice system data.

* You must have at least 1 year of experience working with the Juvenile Probation Services Grant process.

* You must be able to perform essential job functions.
