Auditor Position
The City of New Orleans is seeking an Auditor. This is responsible professional and supervisory auditing work, planning, coordinating and supervising the activities of audit teams in the performance of their assignments; and related work as required.
Minimum qualifications include: (Promotional) permanent or probationary status as an Auditor and one (1) year of experience in that classification. Possession of a current Certified Public Accountant Certificate in Louisiana may be substituted for the one (1) year of required experience. (Original Entrance) A Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university OR a bachelor's degree in another field with at least twenty-four (24) semester hours of accounting from an accredited college or university.
Two years of professional experience performing financial audits. Possession of a current Certified Public Accountant Certificate in Louisiana may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
Kind of examination: A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes, however credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years. This is an original entrance examination and promotional examination.
